Agreed. EZ connectors are unacceptable for gas installations. Soldered clevis' are the way to go.
My set up is electric so I don't have the vibration concerns to which you refer. Admitedly all my planes are electric but I can still say I've never had an E/Z connector let go. I also have a habit of using Locktite.
pkoury - the horn bases and backplates are very rigid and the screws are M3's. With three screws installed they're still at least 2-3X stronger than the stock hardware.
