I have this heat gun that can melt solder. Used it on my other Saito to remove the bearings. Lots of ways to do it, but none of them fun!
Since the plane is busted up from a very bad maiden flight(now I understand why tail heavy planes are so hard to land), and I am not planning on touching it for a while, this will be a good winter project.
On an upbeat note, got my P-47 ready to fly, and got my Ultimate 10 dash 300 Gemini running. I picked this plane up for $300 because it had the twin 120 on it. What a nice running engine, love the sound it makes. Also balanced the Life in my T-clips and saved it. Last time out voltage dropped to under 5v with a fresh charge, but now the voltage is back to normal. It has my Saito FG-11 in it, eager to get it back in the air.
