As suggesed it seems it is a Tornado model you have.

Is the model (both wing+stab+fuselage) covered in plastic film?
If so maybe You should keep the original plastic film on the wing+stab and only recover the fuselage. Personally I like when a model has signs of age and wear so I would try to keep as much of the original as possible.
Here in Europe the "Tornado" was made by Crescent (England) and also by Multiplex (Germany). Maybe it came from one manufacturer but was sold under two brands.
It was a rather popular F3A (RC-I) model in the middle-late 1970th.
