What I meant was this: the servo is mounted to the mounting tabs toward the front of the car. That is, the tabs are behind the "ears" on the servo. Just remove the mounting screws, and move the servo so the ears are behind the mounting tabs instead of in front of them, and reinstall the screws FROM THAT SIDE. That should give the steering bell crank enough room to move.
Glad you finally got it figured out. I didn't see those barrel tabs on the servo mounts.
