Hello guys,
So first. If you had not seen another thread I had started, It was following my desperate look for new blueprints for my tank, as the past ones were horrific and caused me to mess up my measurements, so i have to start from scratch. Before I had realized my error, I had ordered the book "Ft-17/m1917 walkaround" by David Doyle. I was at a crossroads. Use some mysterious russian blueprints that appear to say they are of the m1917, yet are very high resolution, make a slightly innacurate conversion of ft17 to m1917, which would drive me nuts over the accuracy. I had decided initially on using the russian blueprints, and blew them up each view of the blueprints on seperate pieces of paper, as seen below:
These two above photos are my previous plan.
Then the saving grace arrived when my book came in the mail today...
I found in this book extremely accurate dimensional measurements of the m1917!!
and i found this beautiful page... WHICH IS BETTER THAN SKETCHY RUSSIAN BLUEPRINT!!
My new plan is now that I will photocopy this page at a local photo shop. Then i will have them increase the image size to that of the 1/16 tank. Then I can get them to print out these blueprints from the book in the 1/16 scale and life will be a lot easier for me. I wont even have to copy from an unknown scale to 1/16 scale, and will just have to simply measure the 1/16 scale image and can directly make the parts from it.
Additional question:
Would this gearbox work well for a tank? it will fit within the tank, but I'm curious as to whether I will be able to hook it up to a controller where it will be able to drive it like you do on normal rc tanks, will it hook up to the motherboards I will need for the tank?

What motherboards would you guys suggest for the tank that are smaller, what electronics would you suggest for turret? Any advice would be valued!
See you all later!
Ben
