They are making them bigger and out of wood so you know that is not going to last. You can see the tail separated and the rest was history.
There is another thread on RC network with a full scale BD-5 made from wood as well, not sure that is going through there minds when they build like this?

There is nothing wrong with wood as long as the structure is built to the correct specification. How do you think they make full size aircraft made of wood stay in the sky????
