There is nothing wrong with wood as long as the structure is built to the correct specification. How do you think they make full size aircraft made of wood stay in the sky????
I love to see how many "wooden jet fighter" models at 1/2 scale with powerful turbines of today would last doing knife edge manoeuvre. Good luck.
