+1 on the AW comment. My experience mirrors David's both in technical content and attitude of the company.

To be sure, the folks at AW make beautiful airplanes, but seem to have little engineering capability or skill. I lost one of their big Panthers due to elevator flutter (both surfaces departed in flight .. it was only powered by a 160).

I learned from several others who had similar experience with the AW Panther (I found 5 people who had lost their planes this way) that this is a "well known" issue.

When one of their reps contacted AW about it they reportedly said "that airplane is done, we have no plans to change it". And apparently no interest in an AD on their website to warn people. Hard to feel good about a company with that sort of attitude. No company is perfect, but the good ones respond responsibly to resolve issues for their customers.
