You can be taught with this plane.( I wouldnt recommend
you to start out this way).

But the fact is if you have a good instructor
that is willing to teach you with the U CAN DOO
and you are willing to listen and learn than
you can start out with what ever you want.
Your learning curve will be a little harder.
Most instructors will not want to train you
with a U CAN DOO.
