ive discovered that im getting some torsional twisting in the elevator


This is not a surprise, the carbon rod was not intended to act as a torque rod. Furthermore, there's no real anchoring in the flying surface itself, so I recommend to revert to the standard set up!

You are trying to set it up similar to Skymaster, which is hit and miss. I've received stabs from SM that I had to throw away as the carbon rods twisted beyond acceptable. The longer they are the worse it gets. Stick to Avonds instructions....its a proven design.
