MCBrendan- You will probably burn up your ESC with the motors you have. That will cost you more money, not just for a new ESC but also the crash damage. Wait until you can do this right. Unless this is part of a job you have, you don't have a deadline. Don't be impatient. I'll bet a young guy can find some jobs to do to make some money. Rake leaves, trim bushes, shovel snow, things like that. Get the funds together and do this the right way.
