I think the liklihood of a collision between a MR flown autonomously and BLOS and over 500' and a full-scale aircraft is much greater than a "big bird"
Not sure why this makes a difference, but there are a lot more birds to hit than autonomous drones. So why would you be more likely to hit an autonomous drones which number in the hundreds (maybe soon to be thousands) than birds which number in the billions?
