I usually do the wide open throttle on the verticals as it is nearly unlimited. I have run it flat out on the level and of course it is fast, but you have to remember there is a fine line and if you cross it bad things will happen. As my flying buddy says you have to be a participate not an observer on the left stick. I would not turn it down as I tried it for a few flight once and the plane did not come off the ground as easily. I had it turn down to 90% RPM's
