In the past, I faced a similar problem. After screwing up one of my Giants during transport, I decided to bite the bullet and get a trailer. There are a lot of benefits to a trailer other than having space for the plane (e.g. Like all the junk we carry around to make these things fly can be put into the trailer in a designated spot and left there. In fact, my "go to planes" stay in the trailer all summer long.) From what I have experienced, the biggest threat to the planes, other than our piloting skills, is during transportation. Trailers can be fitted to carry our toys safely.
