Man I am PISSED!
Hi everyone,

Yes, it is true that customs is in the process of confiscating the Ferrari Vipers for Trademark / Logo infractions. HSD, nor any other RC airplane manufacturers has a License agreement to use the Ferrari Logo or the name Ferrari on airplanes, for the Ferrari Scheme. As you know, they kept the container in the Inspection area for 15 days because they opened every box looking for other infractions. They could only identify the Ferrari Vipers, so they now moved the container to the Detention center for the Import Specialist team 717 to contact Ferrari. Our Legal advisers said they have to release all the other planes and can only keep the Ferrari Vipers that are in question. Our forwarding company has already filed the proper documents asking for the release of the other planes. We are hoping to have them released and delivered to our warehouse this coming week but that could be a bit optimistic knowing our Government efficiencies. The Navy Vipers and all the other Skymaster Planes are safe from retention and will be delivered as soon as we get them to the warehouse. I know this sucks and everything you are thinking, we already said, but the bottom line is, we do not have permission to use the Ferrari Logo. I have been in contact with all the Ferrari pre order customers and made other arrangements. Obviously we will not be taking any Ferrari Viper orders until this matter gets resolved. I Don't think it is fair to put this blame on HSD, as all they did was follow the suite of all the other RC Plane Manufacturers that sell the Ferrari scheme for years. FYI, any Ferrari planes Direct shipped are also subject to confiscation if the postal Customs Inspector catches it.

Best Regards,

Dirk

P.S. If any of you have an uncle that works at Ferrari Legal, Contact me!! LOL...
