I didn't want to go too hard and have poor traction. The finished tires actually felt much harder than BVM tires, and I think they would have performed very well. We will never know though since I crashed my ME262 on the second flight (my own fault). I did do a number of taxi tests, 2 takeoffs, and one landing on them though, and they the wear on the threads was minimal. I would suspect a higher shore hardness would be necessary with microballoons added though.

sorry to learn about the crash. The tires i make are
ca. 40shore .Just like BVM . They are very strong and light.
The guys who have got some from me,they have logged in more than 30 flights with no thread wear already!
