The owner of one of the oldest hobby stores in Amarillo, Texas passed away about a year ago. No one to take over, it folded. Another hobby store exists, but it is mostly RC vehicles with a much smaller aircraft selection, so accessories and fuel are limited, mostly for RC cars. With hobby stores 95 miles away in three directions (Amarillo TX, Lubbock TX, Roswell NM), I rely a lot on mail order rather than burn $40 in gas each trip.
