You can pretty much take your pick on the major manufacturers for a 7-8 channel radio. There really isn't a bad one. On the cheaper end, the FRSky Taranis is really inexpensive and has a big following. It's definitely not as well built as the $400 radios it competes with in terms of the quality of the case and overall durability, but the FPV crowd has proven that it's reliable and has good range. Futaba has a couple of good choices for a bit more money, and so does Hitec. If you can handle the cost of a Hitec Aurora 9, you can get the SLT version which will let you fly all of the Tactic equipped "TxR" planes and also use the inexpensive Tactic receivers. The Aurora 9 is an impressive radio that's been around a long time, but you may not need all of the features it gives you.
