Never had or flown a Mid-Star 40 but I do own a 4*40 with a OS FS-52 on the nose. I've had her for 10 years or so and she's a relaxing easy plane to fly at low power settings yet is lively when the 52 cranks up! She's one of my favorite planes in the stable and worth a 70 mile drive to pick her up!
