I have a great planes PT -17 120 with corroded cabanes, in fact most I have seen have this problem, some have been replaced but the replacement is just as bad. Looks like they used an inferior metal or sealed moisture. I have searched the internet and not found any replacement, they are no longer available, the same cabanes also fit the super Stearman. I also fly a P 6- E and does not have this issue. I guess I'm wondering if anyone one has found a decent replacement for this part, it's really a fine plane without this flaw.
