I'm sure that it would be possible.
I don't really think that it is necessary, though. The model builds well, and flies well, as designed. It handles the weight with ease. If remember correctly, mine weighed in at 14 pounds.
There is one downside to this model. The landing gear is soft, and bends easily, as can be seen in the pic above. I fixed mine, after the pic was taken, by adding an aftermarket landing gear.
