Many of today's new radios include some kind of telemetry. While not necessary to fly your plane these features can be very helpful. If you are buying the radio for these features be sure you understand what is included and what you might have to add in order for these features to work. Sometimes you need to add sensor or modules. Be sure you have room in the plane for the sensors.
