I would always test a small, hidden area to be safe. Also, on the kicker, sometimes the kicker itself is ok, but the propellant in the spray can will melt the foam. So you can hold the spray can further back so you get more kicker and less propellant. Or just buy your kicker in the pump spray bottle instead of the aerosol.
