Good Grief: U got me a-thinkin da Lil Puddle Jumper
Hi Doc;
Sorry to aggravate you, but before I paced dose 2 mags back into storage, I re-read them wid great interest, and was Wowed by da Puddle Jumper, wid its slow speed/and small field stabilities, and the article designer gave reference to the FM May '01 issue wherein he had submitted a much smaller .10>.15 powered PJ, so I dug out dat issue and again found how great it is in small, tite areas to fly. So now my interest is peaked: I need a Puddle Jumper, da little one. I start my search for Plans. FM mag has died, OK, they do seel plans from their old site 'flying-models.com; but the cost is Wow-High$.....$30 for the lil PJ and $45 for da big .60 size, {YIKES!]; I am already deciding to hand draw up a set of plans: [nothing builds as good or as easy as cutting your own kit from your own plans/sometimes they fly pretty good too], but one last check of good ole eBay: and there I found a set of Lil PJ Plans for $15.95.....bought'em, and they're on their way......Craig, what can I say, see what-cha-did! Bad Boy!, Bad Boy!
All kidding aside, I've been needing and looking for a new project/model to build and fly, and I think the Lil PJ just may fill da bill. Our new home in Wickenburg is on a very spacious 1 1/3 acre parcel, and if the PJ's designer is correct, I should have a blast fllying in my front or back yards. So, in essence or reality, we have helped each other into new hobby endeavours/directions, wherever dat goes, god forbid. Will close again, tanx {?}, for pointing my model building life into a new direction, best regards from near da Stage Coach Llines in Wickenburg. Arizona,
Joe Nagy.
