We had LA .25 racing and there was a 100 mile race every year. 1,400 laps. I am pretty sure they did not need new plating every race. This year it has been changed to LA .15 races with different planes, but there was a .25 race anyway from popular demand. I would get pretty dizzy and exhausted after the 160 lap final. There is a speed event on the west coast that is fairly popular. I am not too sure, but think they are at about 100 mph which isn't too bad for a beginners sport engine. For my money I would get the blue head ASP/Magnum, but I do have a few swap meet LA .25s that perform well. LA .10s, .15s, .40,s and .46s too.
