I've shipped a couple of airplanes and a $3000 digital piano via Grayhound. I was more than happy with the service and cost. There was an option for 'express shipping' or something - I wished I had used that for the first shipment, which was long distance and took a few days. It would have been a more direct route with less handling, but the plane made it just fine. I believe the cost was around $80 for a 1.10 bird in a custom crate.
