Default Quick Learner Heli

Thought I would tell about my experience with a new heli I bought recently. In Feb I bought a Quick learner heli from the mfg with no upgrades, just as is. I installed a O.S. 32sxh engine and carbaon blades.

The heli took only 2 evenings to build, it truely is one of the easiest helis I have ever built. Anyway, once I finished building and dialing it in, I flew it for about month. I live in Bellevue, Wa, so it rains a lot and once there is a small break in the clouds, I run outside to fly until the rain returns.

I must report that it flys great, better than expected. I am not flying inverted yet so I can't comment on its acrobatic characteristics, but I bet it would do great with that as well. I am impressed with the metal parts that make up this heli, there is very little plastic in it.

Anyway I broke one of my main rules of flying, I forgot to check the battery level before I went flying last week. The sun came out for a change and I was so excited to see the sun, I ran out with the heli before the sun could leave. I started it up and flew through about a half a tank of fuel, it was about 8 feet in the air (I was admiring my piloting skills at the time) and all of a sudden it just laid over on its side and fell to the ground before I could do anything about it. I could not believe it, my brand new heli laying on the ground looking up at me as if to say, why did you do this too me you moron?

To my surprise the only part broken on the Heli was a $10 dollar blade grip and a bent control rod. The metal parts were all in great shape and its ready to fly once again. If I would have done that with my virgo or my nexus 30, they would have been on life support. Anyway I thought I would pass this on.

P.S. I am not a rep for any company and I have no stake in the future of this product or any RC product I am just an RC nut.
