RCFred, thanks! I have tried the Corkscrew maneuver a handful of times as well as lots of spin testing including flat spins. She winds up tight just as ole Stu described in the original article. These days, I usually fly her in a more sedate manner, avoiding the "tortuous" twisty stuff. I agree about the wire gear. I intended to upgrade it to something more sturdy years ago but never did as you can see in the pic. A bouncy rough landing will get the prop easily. It motivates you to put her down as smooth as possible.
The guys at the field this morning liked the fuel "sight glass". With throttle management, I usually fly 8-10mins on the 4oz tank. I think I'll take her back out again on Friday morning.
