RE: JHH Hawk Help?
Michael,
These are the set ups that I used with my MW 54 powered JHH Hawk. For level flight, set the TE of the stabs flush with the top of the boat tail behind the rudder. About 55 degrees flaps mixed with about 1/32" down elevator for landings. The CG is 5" aft of the wing LE. Movements are; rudder 3/4" left and right, elevator .55" up and down, aileron 1/4" up and down. I also flew with 1/8 " up reflex on the ailerons which helped reduce the snapping on tight turns. My Hawk had a lot of wash in, TE wing tip down, and weighed in at 14 lbs. dry. Go easy on the turns as the Hawk will snap if you do too tight of a turn. But it does recover easily. Good luck.
