Hi, the thread on, one or two coats of primer caught my eye, but I cannot use solvent based paint in my basement workshop, I've gone to latex.
I've PDF'd the Vaillancourt method at
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1X7Q...-TYabXhkc/view
that I've been using.
I start with Z poxy with 3/4 oz. glass cloth over a balsa surface.
What you guys are using for
latex primer / undercoater and filler?
I've been using a plain latex primer / undercoater followed by that same undercoat mixed with a hint of grey latex with baby talc powder added in.
The downside is the baby talc filler takes a couple of days to fully dry for sanding.
I'd like to hear what the latex guys are doing on their warbirds.
The P-51 is a brushed on latex while the Harvard is sprayed on latex.
cheers - ken
