Have you checked the length of the motor against the plans?If I recall that plane may have been designed for the G26.. Why I ask is two friends of mine built that whole plane and didn't realize they had a longer motor than the plans and the prop was 2- 3 inches in front of the cowl !

Its amazing how fast you can build flat bottom wings, with no dihedral or ailerons !
