Talking about hinges, did you know that John Reedman used monokote hinges on his DV8R, be said he never had a problem and he was flying the DV with a JetCat 120, he said he made the proper calculations and came to the conclusion that monokote hinges ( I assume one long piece per control surface ) were stronger than fiberglass hinges, I'm still scratching my head on that one
