Direction Control Problems
Hi all, got an issue thats got me stumped.
About 10 years ago I started upgrading a first gen Heng Long (no smoke/sound) Tiger 1, promptly ran out of cash and the whole thing was shelved. I recently dug it back out and resolved to finish what I started. I picked up the latest Taigen control board set and fired the tank up for the first time yesterday evening.
Everything works fine (that I have connected that is, it's hull only at the moment), except for the direction control for the tank. In order to go forwards I have to pull the stick back, and to go backwards I have to push the stick forwards. Left and right works fine, so if I wanted to go forwards turning the tank to the right, I need to push the stick down/right.
I switched the plugs for the gearboxes and the tank now moves forwards when I push the stick up, but now left and right are reversed. So to drive the tank forwards while turning to the right I have to push the stick up/left.
I'm highly doubtful that its a problem with the control board and suspect its a problem with the wiring/gearboxes themselves. Unfortunately I got these metal gearboxes so long ago I cannot say who the actual manufacturer is or exactly what they are.
Any ideas? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
