That red and white airplane appears to be a Lancer and not a Rimfire. The Rimfire had a tapered wing where the Lancer was constant chord. I built both of those planes and frankly, mine were quite good kits. At least on par with most kits from the time and better than most Goldberg kits I had my hands on. Out of complete frustration, I threw (2) partly finished Goldberg kits away during that period where i could at least make a flyable airframe from the Sterling kits. Die cutting wasn't that bad.
Regardless, the plane in the photo looks quite nice and I bet you were very proud of it back in the day.
