The carb primer bulb is really no trouble to access and it works great. The engine is also solid in fuel deliver from the tank so, unless a guy just feels the need for a pump, the engine is fine without it. If the tank were 18” or more away from the carb then a pump could be necessary but my set up is good enough that the fuel flow is fine for all my vertical manuvures
