Hi all: Richard here in scappoose, oregon. I have been away from the forum for some time now, and just logged into my gmail to find messages. I have been doing potato growing for the local food bank, and doing very little at the model building workbench. While dealing with a trainer build for a long time, i picked up a tower 40 trainer arf with engine, etc that had no flight time on it. Found the controls unairworthy,, and needed to be reworked. The new tower .46 engine was removed, and put through the break-in runs, and then re-installed. Since the model came with six ounces of tail weight, i made an effort to correct this added weight. Moved the engine closer to the firewall. And battery location. Found on re-balance last night that with muffler attached it balanced at the 3.75" location. My 25% mac location was at 3.5". Will just have to find out at the test flight if the factory location is correct. I really rather re-work models than build from kits. Building from plans is a lot more interesting. Do hope the building goes on to keep the hobby being alive. Flying may be fun, but building is exciting also.

Cheers!!!
Rich
