Hello All,
Is this thread still going? I hope so ... as I've just taken delivery of a new DV kit, and would like to seek advice and share tips etc.
I cant wait to start building but have a few work things to take care of first. However in preparation i had nowhere near big enough to lay this plan out out so treated myself to a new rather large building board. It will be made from an 18mm piece of MDF (so warp proof), it's 60" x 40" and I'll cover that with a layer of 8mm cork roll so i can use pins in it. Hopefully that'll make sure i build straight ...
What I'll do with such a large board afterwards is anyones guess

Your best bet is to start your own build thread. Salmonbug might be back tomorrow but there is no way to be certain. A particular plus to this model is that the designer seems willing drop in and give advice. I haven't had the opportunity to build one of Mr Tharpe's models but I have built a Holy Smoke and a Force One. One nice thing about deltas is that for all their speedy appearance they tend to have pretty pleasant low speed characteristics.
