I can't get to my genuine Mills 1.3 till tomorrow, but my Irvine version needs a pin spanner, with two 1/16" pins spaced 9/16". Undo counter clockwise. You'll possibly have to remove the tank/venturie/NVA before the backplate. Simply loosen the nut closest to the engine cylinder first, and screw the whole thing off CCW. Does that make sense?
Are there two shallow holes in the backplate of yours?
