My Divergent fuselage is a single layer of 1.4 oz plain weave, 1 layer of 3.6 oz crowfoot, 1/32" contest balsa and another layer of 3.6 crowfoot. Following the layup I sealed the glass with some 1 mil painters plastic tarp and bagged. The complete fuselage with formers and gear plate came out at 39 oz. I could easily drop 4oz on the next one by adding some peel ply before the 1 mil plastic. I don't think the balsa soaked up much resin at all.
