After all these years, it is still some crazy coincidence that Tamiya releases offer a kit, and out comes a simplified clone?

Crazy as it may seem, the clone makers have of recent years released some tanks that Tamiya didn't make first - ZTZ-99, Abrams, Challenger and Type 90 come to mind.
