I give you already some results of my primary head scratching.

My first idea for placing the turbine was to put it above the wing between the fins and tilt it slightly to correct the pitch up trend involved by the fact the trust line would be above the wing chord. That would have allowed me to keep the structure nearly stock around trailing edge of the center section ( easy setup) . In an email exchange with Bruce he told me that if he had to do a turbine DV he would have placed the turbine closer to the wing chord.

I had rejected this idea for two reasons . The ground clearance during flair, but also mainly because I tought huge mods would have to be done to the stock structure to reinforce the back of the wing ( due to the fact a huge part of the wing trailing edge would be missing.

Tonight I came back home with a kingtech 45 and made some measurements . I have to say it would fit just fine between the two root ribs making the structural mods not so enormous after all ( I plan some CF carbon fiber in front of the turbine cutout and maybe also on the trailing edges each side)
The ground clearance would be ok also.

The retract will be electrical, because I don't have a lot of space to place all turbine equipement so I prefer to skip the instalation of a pneumatic valve , servo, bottle and so on. Electrical also require batteries and that's fine because I will need weight in the front.
The instalation of the gear will be very similar to the one I made on my first DV ( go back in 2004 on this thread there are plenty of pics)
The gear will be instald something like one inch more backward to have room space for the fuel cells that will lay around the CG.
The fuel cells will be placed around the CG and custom made to match this project ( That will be done by a specialist because I don't have tools to make them)
I decided to use soft fuel cells ( either a multiple flat conventional tanks could do the job), to keep the project simple and also because by using those tank you don't need an UAT. rough measurements showed me I could place 2 cells of 900 ml placed on the cg . That will give reasonable flight time
The front section ( called engine box on the DV), will be entirly modified to make a reasonably long nose . and will extrude the leading edge for at least the lenght of a 2 cells 4000 mah lipo battery pack

It's 3 am here in belgium, I am near the cerebral explosion ,), so I go to bed
