Good morning CC, I have never owned a 180, only a very early 150 and a 220. I have a friend in Princeton, W.Va. who owns five of them and he loves them. Interesting story, Bobby got one of the first 180's that Horizon shipped, he broke it in on 15% Wildcat pretty much like I do it. He installed it on a plane, filled the tank with 30% fuel and about one minute into the 180's maiden flight the crankshaft busted it's way down through the rear of the crankcase. Horizon sent him a new engine, no questions asked and he never looked back. Bobby runs them hard.
What compression ratio did you settle on, my 150 has 11.24 to 1, Saito lowered it in the later ones. Thanks, Dave
