I have a new but model old O.S. 40 FP. It has a remote needle valve arrangement. The plane I want to put it in is cowled. The needle has no hole or Allen to add an extension rod. Any ideas?

In this airplane the needle valve will point down. I can just turn the valve 90deg and mount it through the fuselage. That puts the needle outside the plane. Easy to reach but ugly.
