I've always liked Fox engines. Properly broken in they will last forever. And, your right, they're service is first rate by very nice people.

But the first dirt nap in cambat the muffler will break off and take pieces of the crankcase with it. Duke Fox (may he rest in peace) just never learned how to attach a muffler to an engine.

so, I'm going to reserve my Foxes for sport and run my Mags and Leos in combat.
