I had the chance to fly in one several years ago. Was a nice flying plane, though flying off the water was a bit strange to me, at the time anyway.
The only issue with the LB is that, if there is any issues with the engine, it won't glide. Had one crash after it ran out of fuel over Lake Washington a few years back. When the engine quit, it went down in a hurry with the resulting death of both on board when it hit the ground
