g'day gents
ive flown my 1.8 predator with the ace60 in it
after a few flights i couldnt figure out why i had so much up trim , even after moving the ECU battery as far as i could go safely it didnt change the trim and needed a fair amount of right aileron trim
so out came the incidence meter , and to my amazement everything was wrong
ive been speaking to jeremy_d about this issue and he has come up with the same problem , dont take the fuse moldings as being correct and accurate !!!! THEY ARE FAR FROM BEING CORRECT
it would pay for anyone who builds one to check it over as myself and jeremy have done
according to pilot everything is ment to be set at 0 degree's the left wing is 0 with the engine mounts BUT the right wing needed to be moved 1.5mm down on the leading edge to be at 0
both tail planes were again checked and were found to have .-5 degrees of incidence ,, left tail plane lines up with the fuse moulding (although still out of WACK ) but the right doesnt
I do like the look of the plane BUT it does need work ,, and now its getting repowered with a jets munt VT80 the 60 flies it fine but its not fast
as jeremy said the down fall is having to unplug the gear and break control unit after each flight ,, it stays on when the plane is turned of ..
so now all the incidence measurements and been checked and corrected ,,, so hopefully it flies as good as it looks
