To achieve 24-26% Throttle position at IDLE as Dirk recommends, with Spektrum I end up with slightly different pulsewidths than mentioned above. For example, if STOP is 1000 us, IDLE 1200 us, and FULL THROTTLE 2000 us, then the Throttle percentage is only 20%. To achieve 25% IDLE Throttle position and if you use trims to STOP the turbine, you would need to ensure that full up and down Trim move the Throttle output (as shown on the Spektrum Monitor screen) from -67% to -133%, respectively, with Throttle Stick full down. With Throttle Stick and Trim both full up, the Throttle output should be 133%. These values are with Travel set to +/- 100%. Instead of Trims, you could also use a switch; however, rather than using a switch to STOP the turbine, I prefer to mix the Right Knob to Throttle, since a switch is easier to accidentally hit. The mix from Right Knob to Throttle needs to be 33% to achieve IDLE Throttle at 25%. To achieve a Throttle percentage at 25% for IDLE, the pulsewdths are about: STOP 968 us, IDLE 1232 us, and FULL THROTTLE 2032 us — for a receiver centering at 1500 us. Some receivers center at 1520 us, so adjust accordingly. Perhaps all this is all blindingly obvious, but given the importance Dirk placed on Throttle margin between STOP and IDLE, thought it useful to post.
