A simple entry end 2.4GHz stick radio outfit with 4 channels will do the job. Just avoid anything that has a "park flyer" label, look for "mode 2", look for a radio that has mechanical trims and servo reverse switches, avoid those that need a PC on the end of a programming cable to set up. Look around various threads and you will see some makes mentioned more than others. Futaba, Hitec, Flysky all give good quality.
For your money you get a transmitter and a receiver. The same shop will supply servos and a suitable battery harness.
