Default RE: Warped Ailerons As Flaperons?

The ailerons or the wing? If it's the ailerons and you covered them with film why not take the iron to them and warp them back straight? You may want to reconsider the flaperon idea anyway. My esperience with them on a 2 meter glider showed that at around the 40 degree mark they have NO aileron control authourity thanks to the angles involved. After that model I vowed to never use flaperons again unless it's for coupled flaps and elevator for extra lift in maneuvers. But for that I don't need more than about 10 to 20 degrees and at that much deflection the ailerons did work still although at 20 or so they were getting a bit soft in response compared to neutral flap.
