I too have recently obtained the Maxford version of the plane (the V2). Came well packaged, looks great, built straight and light. I will use the Saito FG90R3 radial, which fits well. The adjustable firebox needs reinforcement to take the weight of this engine. I have ditched all CA hinges supplied for Robart hinge points and improved on the linkage hardware (Kuza/Goldwing RC). Finally ditched the supplied 5.5" wheels for 5" Robart air wheels to take up the landing suspension action (Maxford has wire gear). Need to think how to modify the bracing to provide additional side load support for the gear..
